Electricity Transmission

David Wright explains how you can get involved

Welcome to Electricity Transmission

The energy landscape is changing and is placing new demands on our network.

Offshore wind farms, solar panels on people’s houses, more electric vehicles and improvements in battery technologies mean that our network needs to adapt.

It’s more important than ever that we listen to the changing needs of our stakeholders and use your insight to create our future business plans. Through engagement with you we will set the standards of service we provide, the investments we make and the performance outcomes upon which we are measured.

We’re currently preparing for our next business plan submissions to Ofgem (the next regulatory period, RIIO 2, begins in 2021), so whether it’s for our RIIO submissions or our annual planning process, we will give stakeholders a stronger voice in what we do. You can find out more about how we’re proposing to do this on the 'Get involved' page.

I’m incredibly excited about this approach and would love you to get involved – we’re keen to make sure we hear from everyone who has a view on what our plans should look like.

I hope you find this site useful and informative.  Thank you for your interest in our business.
